Jenny Humphrey. I think it’s safe to say that everyone hates her guts. BUT…… let me play devil’s advocate (:
In the first season, Jenny started out as an innocent little girl from Brooklyn that just wanted to fit in with the cool kids, Blair and Serena. She hand writes all of the Kiss on the Lips envelopes just so she can get an invite herself and runs all of Blair’s errands just to get noticed by her. But then you see her go to Blair’s annual sleepover and going crazy during truth or dare just a few episodes later. And then being popular went straight to her head and she goes 100% crazy.
Basically everything that happened to Jenny could have been prevented by her making decisions but can we not feel at least a little bit bad for her? Her mom is basically MIA, her dad doesn’t understand her, her brother is too busy caring about himself and being weird to be there for her, Eric her best friend betrays her more than once (yeah she betrays him too but not the point here ok), and Blair actually makes her life a living hell. She has some serious talent when it comes to fashion but has the worst luck when it comes to making her passion her life.
Basically what I’m saying is that before y’all bash on Jenny Humphrey next time, think about how misunderstood she is and how you would probably feel bad for her if she was a person in real life. And also agree with me that Vanessa is 1000 times worse than Jenny is and so we should all focus our hatred towards Vanessa’s character (((:
